With the rapid development of automotive industry and the requirements of national sustainable development strategy,energy saving and lightweight of automobil has been listed as one of the key issues for the development of the automotive industry.Due to the fiber reinforced composite material has high strength,low density,corrosion resistance and many other advantages,it will have broad market prospects in the field of automotive industry.Filament winding vehicle CNG cylinder is an important part of natural gas vehicle,so that the safety of CNG cylinders is directly related to the safety of the car's battery life and safe operation.The research of filament winding vehicle CNG cylinder structure design has played an important role to improve the level of the automotive industry.According to the design criterion of the filament winding vehicle cylinder,the following several aspects of the 70L vehicle CNG cylinders are studied in this paper.Firstly,we analysis the influence of the ellipsoid ratio of the cylinder head on the strength and stability of cylinders according to the film theory and combined with the cylinder volume,the use of space and the actual production process and other constraints,we determine the geometry of the cylinder liner,fiber layer thickness of filament winding and winding angle based on grid theory.Second,the finite element model is established by using parametric design language of ANSYS,which has completed the handle of change Angle and the thickness.The autofrettage of the cylinder is analyzed and the best of autofrettage pressure value is determined according to the DOT-CFFC standard.The stress size and distribution of the cylinder liner and fiber layer is analyzed under various operating conditions after applying the autofrettage pressure.Finally,the fiber layer thickness of vehicle cylinder is optimized by using optimization tool and algorithm of ANSYS.At last,we get the best thickness of hoop and helical direction of fibre.
