With the continuous improvement of economic and technological level,connected structure as a new structure in front of people,and has been rapid development.At the same time,the complex structure of the design to bring great difficulties.It is of great significance to study the safety of connected structure.This article introduces the development of connected structure and some existing problems.Combining with engineering examples,the dynamic characteristics and seismic response of unsymmetrical connected structure under earthquake action are analyzed by using SAP2000.The project consists of two towers of different heights,the connector set up in the top of the tower,and it will be two towers as a whole,constitute an unsymmetrical connected structure.The article compares the different responses of individual towers and connected structure under earthquake action.By changing the connection and adjusting the position of the connector,to study the influence of different connection and positions on the force and deformation of the structure under earthquake action.Combined with the characteristics of the ground where the project is located and the characteristics of the structure itself,select the appropriate seismic wave,analyze the time history of the structure,and compare the time history analysis results with the response spectrum results.Through the above analysis,it is found that the setting of the connector strengthens the stiffness of the connected structure,and the torsional effect of the structure is also increased while coordinating the horizontal vibration of the tower on both sides,and the existence of the connector has a greater influence on the low tower.The difference in connection mode has little effect on the connected structure.With the decline of the connnector position,the overall stiffness of the structure becomes smaller,and the restraint effect of the connector on both sides of the tower is weakened.In the structural design,for security reasons,need to use the time history analysis as a supplementary calculation.At the end of the article,a brief summary of the work done in this paper is given,and pointed out the unfinished work and the direction of further research.
