With the rapid development of science and technology,high-rise building structure has been getting more and more popular in people’s daily life.Because of its advantages of novelty and versatility, the structure of twin towers has been widely used.So far for conjoined high-rise structure a lot of research has been done both at home and abroad, but for its design researchers are still lack of effective means and fully mature understanding, generally only depending on the common software and existing engineering experience,so that the seismic performance of structure can’t be grasped well.In this paper, the structure engineering of the actual twin towers is used as the research object, and the following four aspects will be studied:(1)The first chapter introduces the structure system of the twin towers, including its research background and research significance, stress characteristics and structural examples, and the research status.(2)In the second chapter, the common analysis methods and computer analysis software of twin towers conjoined structure are discussed, and comparison analysis is carried out to choose the suitable one for computer analysis in this paper;(3)The third chapter uses finite element analysis software ETABS to build seven kinds of analytical model, the vibration mode decomposition response spectrum method is adopted for the twin towers conjoined structure engineering example for seismic response analysis, the discussion is as follows:By changing the storey connection parameters including storey number, body position and lap joint position, elastic vibration mode decomposition response spectrum method is used to analyze the seven example models of twin towers conjoined high-rise buildings under the earthquake action interms of the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance;(4)In the fourth chapter, the elastic time history analysis method is adopted with the selected two natural seismic waves and one artificial seismic wave, and then the supplementary checking calculation is conducted for the high-rise structure of the twin towers, and the results are compared with those of the seismic decomposition response spectrum method, and summary to the seismic response rules of such structures is given.Through the work above, following conclusions have been reached:The first mode of the structure is translational vibration in Y direction, the second mode is translational vibration in Y direction, and the third mode is rotational vibration around Z axis. The structure displacement can be controlled by increasing the number of conjoined layers appropriately, but the seismic force is more powerful,so it is necessary to select the appropriate storey number according to the requirements. The proper elevation of the joint position can effectively control the earthquake action, and it is more advantageous to the seismic structure.Connection body connection should be set up as far as possible on the outside of the structure of the frame beams,it is conducive to the overall structure seismic, and appropriate seismic waves should be chosen for structure add integral calculation, which makes structure design more reasonable.
