In order to meet requirements of building function,there are various connecting tall structure arise at home and abroad.Connecting structure is a complex structure that constituted by two or more construction.The individual building is connected through overhead nest enrich the architectural functions,which make it widely used increasingly.The gallery structure changed the dynamic characteristics of the original independent building.It made the independent tower influence each other and prone to coupling vibration or reverse,which make the structure became more complex.So,this article took an office building of the shipbuilding industry in Xiamen as an research background,established modeling by the finite element software SAP2000.And study the seismic performance of structure that design gallery or not.Based on specific engineering case,this paper firstly analyzes the impact on the dynamic characteristics of the structure that design gallery or not.Secondly,establish different models that setting various parameters such as the connection method,the location,number of gallery and the different height of single building,and researched their dynamic characteristics and seismic response by response spectrum method and time history analysis method.The main research works and conclusions are as follows:(l)The structural natural vibration period of buildings with no connection is greater than that of structure with rigid coupling or hinged joint.The stiffness of structure that with rigid coupling is maximal and the structural natural vibration period is minimal.But the influence of the gallery design position is too complex to find the rule due to the towers on both sides is not at the same height and asymmetric structures.The overall stiffness increased and the structural natural vibration period reduced obviously when the numbers of gallery increasing.The single building height is more difference,the structural natural vibration period is smaller and the torsion effect is more obvious.From structural vibration mode,each order formation of conjoined structure is no longer a single direction of vibration compared with single structure.The structural torsion,coupling vibration trouble is relatively significant,which has become the important characteristics of asymmetrical conjoined structure.(2)Vibration mode decomposition response spectrum method is used to get the structure internal force and deformation.From the analysis results,interlayer displacement angle of building is less than the standard limit,which conformed to the requirements for seismic resistance.And it further verified the accuracy of the model by comparing the response spectrum and time history analysis results.(3)In this paper,selected two natural earthquake waves and an artificial wave according to the structure of the site category to analyze time history.It mainly analyzed the influence of various parameters such as the connection method,the location,number of gallery to the bottom shear,the top floor displacement,acceleration at the top and gallery across of the whole structure,which could provide reference for engineering design.
