Flood detention basin is an important part of the flood control system.The flooding routing of Pangtoupao basin in the Nenjiang River Basin is simulated which is based on the development project of the Song-liao River Basin flood control dispatching system.First,the main flood simulation model is introduced and the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.The EFDC model is selected as the calculation model.Then the structure of the model source code is analyzed,and secondary development is conducted according to the actual needs of the model.Then the evolution of the flood in the area is simulated by the historical flood data of the flood in 1998,and the model is verified according to the measured and survey data.Finally,this model is used to simulate the flood evolution process of the five typical annual design floods in the flood storage and detention area.Based on the calculated results and the combining social and economic data,the flood rate and flood losses and evaluation of each scheme were analyzed and calculated by using the loss rate method.The main conclusions and research results are as follows:(1)The main results of the secondary development of the EFDC model include the updated original water depth results file,re-output result file in txt format and its GIS visualization results.It mainly includes txt format data for the center coordinates and the maximum water depth of each grid,the maximum submerged water depth map of the EFDC model and the maximum submerged water depth map of the GIS visualization.(2)The EFDC and MIKE models are both used to model the historical floods in 1998.After the comparison,it is found that: EFDC model is reliable and reasonable in the flood simulation of large flood storage and detention area,which can provide scientific and technical support for flood control planning,forecasting and early warning of flood storage and detention area;and Compared with the MIKE model,the EFDC model has the advantages of high accuracy and quicker calculation in simulating the flood evolution of the large flood storage area;EFDC model has the advantages of high efficiency,simple model calibration and stable model calculation compared to MIKE and other commercial software.In addition,the source code of EFDC is open,so it is convenient to proceed secondary development and system integration.Future research can be further explored in this regard.(3)The five calculation schemes of the flood storage and detention area are simulated and the simulation results are analyzed and the flood damage is analyzed.The scheme of the typical year 1960 is a scheme of which the affection by the floods and the total amount of flood losses suffered is the least.The town of Minyi is under no impact of floods in the various programs.Yishun Town,Xinzhan Town and Daxing Town are the townships affected by floods in most degree.In the management and planning of flood storage and detention areas,the safety construction of these townships should be strengthened.
