China is a country with serious flood. With the rapid development of social economy,the loss which flood brings increases rapidly. Flood storage and detention area as animportant part of flood control and disaster mitigation system is more and more important.Flood storage and detention area not only reduces the loss brought by flood but alsoprevent flood for the city. Flood evolution numerical simulation of storage and detentionarea can preferably reveal temporal and spatial variations of flood evolution, and simulatethe flood process. Utilizing numerical simulation results for flood risk zonation and floodrisk mapping, which is an important guiding significance to safety construction, reasonablerefuge plan,prediction of flood disaster loss and flood risk reduction. In the paper, MIKEsoftware was used to simulate flood wave advance detention area of Ningjinbo and Daluze,analysis the result of numerical simulation and study on flood risk zonation, flood riskmapping, the flood disaster loss assessment, etc.This main content of the article is as follows:1.The paper summarizes the computing method of flood routing numerical model ofnowadays and the overseas and domestic research status of the flood risk figure andflood losses evaluation, and briefly introduces the basic equations and discretizationmethod of MIKE Hydrodynamic module.2.Conducting the model building based on the brief introduction of the Ningjinboand Daluze flood storage and detention areas. Building up One and two dimensionsCoupling numerical models of the flood storage and detention areas by using theMikeflood module and then verify them using the historical flood data "96.8". The selectedmodel roughness value was proved to be reasonable by the contrast analysis on the analogwater level value and the measured value in the village of water around. It is known thatthe models are reasonable by comparing the flood inundation area and flood detentionvolume at different times with the historical data.3.The flood routing numerical simulation on the different frequency flood was madeby using the models. The analysis of the flooding range and flooding last time on themodel results was made. The flood index of all the villages were picked up, such as thesubmerged water depth, the time of flood and the flood flow velocity, etc.4.The risk indicators were selected in the flood index, and the calculation of the floodrisk degree was made. According to the risk degree regionalization criteria, the flood risk areas of the flood storage and detention areas were divided into severe-risk areas,moderate-risk areas, mild-risk areas and no risk areas. The flood risk map was drawed.5.The flood damage assessment was made on the basis of flood risk map,The loss oflife was calculated by using the empirical formula,and the economic losses werecalculated by using the calculation method of the surface integrated flood loss. The disasterlevels of the different frequency flood were evaluated through the fuzzy clustering analysismethod.
