Emotional Design Of Children’s Hand-held Atomizer

In the past years,some people suffered from the diseases of respiratory,owing to the more and more serious air pollution and the variable temperature during the period of season changes.The increasing incidence of asthma is the most prominent problem among all these respiratory diseases,where the children account for the largest proportion.Asthma causes bad damage to the health of children,which has already drew parents’ much attention.Children are vulnerable to diseases,however,they are unwilling to take the medicine,therefore,atomization is more suitable for the treatment of children’s asthma than traditional methods.At present,many of our medical products are designed mainly for adults,the design of children’s medical products didn’t take emotion and specialization into consideration.To assure the health of children,we should pay more attention to the special needs of children in the aspect of medical products.The lack of emotional design of children’s hand-held atomizer will lead to much resistance from children,which is not good for the implement of atomization treatment,therefore we need to give children more care and love by using the emotional design of the product to take care of children.The innovation of this paper is the interaction of children and atomizer with sound and light.It greatly engaged the children’s curiosity by allowing children’s breathe to control the flicker of light,which forms the interaction between children and atomizer,and by playing songs to draw more children’s attention.By involving the emotional interaction between children and atomizer from all sensory including vision,audition,smell,taste and touch,the designed medical nebulizer guarantees that children wouldn’t resist against the treatment during the whole process.The paper consists of the following contents:(1)Firstly,we analyzed the current situation of medical products on a world-wide scale to find the direction for emotional design.(2)Analysis of the importance of emotional in children’s medical products: the study of children’s medical products of emotional design cases,to guide children’s handheld nebulizer research.(3)Analyze from the crowd,products and the environment to guide the design of children’s hand-held atomizer in theroy;Research the current market trends of existing medical nebulizer and the characteristics of products,conduct a questionnaire survey to determine the design of medical nebulizer direction.(4)Find the design point of the children,according to the psychological and physiological characteristics of children;analyze the expression of the children’s handheld atomizer emotional;do further research through the emotional design principles of children’s hand-held atomizer.(5)Designed the children’s hand-held atomizer from aspects including vision,auditory,olfactory,taste,touch.From the aspect of vision,we can analyze the product from appearance,color and light,and eliminate the fear of children towards medical products by incorporating the cartoon elements into the shape of products.As for color,we also adopted the children’s favorite colors,which mostly are bright colors,and attracted children by the using of flashing light.In terms of hearing,we drew children’s attention by playing their favorite sounds from cartoons.The sense of smell and taste makes children more interested in hand-held atomizer.The tactile can be improved by selecting appropriate material,such as the safe and comfortable material,therefore children feel more comfortable when using the product.
