Research On Development Model Of Construction Workers' Safety Awareness

With the social and economic development of our country, construction industry has become one of the pillar industry in national economy. But as the construction industry has grown stronger, the safety problem in construction process keeps emerging and safety accidents occurs frequently which seriously influences the stability and development of construction industry. A large number of accident cases indicate that the lacking of safety awareness as the violation of operation regulations and paying more attention on profit of construction workers is one of the greatest causes of construction safety accidents. Hence, it's extremely essential to research the status of development of construction workers' safety awareness and find out the crucial measures to strengthen the safety awareness of construction workers.Firstly, based on the analysis on the current safety situation of construction production, this paper firstly points out the significance of improving construction workers' safety awareness. Secondly, defines the definition of safety awareness on the base of analyzing the connotation of human's awareness and the production and developing process of it. This paper analyzed the resolution stages of safety problems and the relationship between the stages and the development of safety awareness from the aspect of cognitive psychology, and established the framework of the developing model of construction workers' safety awareness based on the stages. Thirdly, this paper investigated the influencing factors of construction workers' safety awareness through the questionnaire and open-ended interview and get thirteen factors in five dimensions by using SPSS and built the index system of construction workers' safety awareness. This paper analyzed the hierarchical structure of the thirteen factors through the method of interpretation structure modeling(ISM) and established the interpretation structure model of the influencing factors of construction workers' safety awareness. According to the cause of the change of construction workers' safety awareness, the paper divided the impact paths consist of the thirteen factors on construction workers' safety awareness into four types: adverse psychological type, environmental impact type, safety education type and safety propaganda type. Finally, this paper analyzed the influence mechanism of each factors to the stages of the development of construction workers' safety awareness and established the developing model of construction workers' safety awareness combined with the impact paths. The results of the research are expected to provide a reference for working out measures to improve construction workers' safety awareness.
