The paper consists of 4 parts, Chapter 1 explains the concept, the field of the research, basic theory and backgrounds regarding to this paper. Then recall the history and result of the urban color research, introduce the status of national urban color planning. Chapter 2 regarding the building color as the urban color, analyze the factors which take great influence on the building color, and introduce how to do the color surveys step by step. Chapter 3 investigates the color of building and its surroundings of ZhongNan Road in Wuhan. It conclude 2 parts, one is of day time, the other is night, And analyze the building color of the field in ZhongNan Road.
