Full-automatic production line of enteric capsule shells is of typical process and motion control and of mechatronic production equipment.There are as many as 41 motion mechanisms in the production line,each of which is strong in interconnectivity and complicated in control.The system requires fast and stable operation of motion mechanisms,accurate position control locating and low production line failure.In order to ensure fast and stable operation of production line and improve the system control accuracy and control efficiency,advanced control technology,network motion control technology,servo motion control technology and electronic cam technology are adopted in this paper to study and design the control system for production line of enteric capsule shells.Network control system based on PLC,touchscreen and servo drive is developed and automatic control of enteric capsule shell production process is realized.Firstly,relevant theories of servo motion control,network motion control and electronic cam technology are studied.The study is focused on the CAN bus technology and the application and characteristics of DMCNET bus technology developed independently by Delta in network motion control.Targeting the multi-shaft and multi-speed motion control characteristics during glue dipping in the production line and the control of ensuring that the mechanical moving parts run smoothly with high speed,conventional cam curve control method is compared,electronic cam control principle and cam curve design approach are studied,proper planning methods for motion paths in position locating and speed locating circumstances.Secondly,targeting the control process requirements for full-automatic production line of enteric capsule shell,network control system of enteric capsule shell production line with CAN bus technology and DMCENT bus technology are adopted in the design.The application of AH20 MC intelligent motion control module based on DMCENT network is studied and designed;electronic cam technology is adopted to realize the methods for building of electronic cam data during the first,the second and the third cap glue dipping process and design of master and slave shaft function relationship and electronic cam curve;the issue of proper multi-speed motion control in both position locating and speed locating circumstances is solved;and accurate and smooth control of the position locating and speed locating during glue dipping is realized.Besides,flexible setting of cam parameters is realized via human and machine interface,which realizes the automation and visualization of the production process.Finally,on-site application test of network control system of full-automatic production line of enteric capsule shells is conducted.The test results show that the network motion control system based on CAN bus and DMCNET bus technology as researched and developed for this system fully satisfies the network control of multi-shaft motion control system of full-automatic production line of enteric capsule shells.The application of electronic cam technology realizes the smooth multi-speed control during glue dipping and the position and speed locating is high,which leads to uniform capsule shell wall thickness,ensures the quality of capsule product and improves the production efficiency.
