| With the rapid development of the motorized transport,the traffic situation and environmental quality in Quanzhou ancient city is becoming worse and worse.Behind these problems reflect the particular plight of the urban transport development in historical center.Because of the limitation of the road system,and the strict requirements to protect the traditional style,it is hard for historical center to adapt the rapid development of the motorized transport.As a result,its traffic location throughout the city is becoming weaker and weaker.So,it is imperative to explore traffic improvement methods for the historical center under the dilemma of development and protection.This paper focus on the supply and demand imbalance as the nature of urban traffic problem,summarize the related theory and research progress at home and abroad,and then construct a road traffic improvement methodology which includes the whole process from current situation analysis,improvement principles and strategies,planning scheme,to the feedback regulation stage.In this methodology,we can quantitatively explore the delicate balance between traffic supply and demand combined with consideration of the traditional style protection requirements.This paper is divided into 4 parts by contens.The first part,analysis the current traffic situation of Quanzhou ancient city from both supply and demand,and summarize the problems and reasons.The second part,based on the interpretation of the related protection planning document,propose the general principles and basic countermeasures to improve road traffic of Quanzhou ancient city.The third part,according to specific requirements of these protection planning documents,classify all roads in Quanzhou ancient city into three types——strict protection type,general protection type and non-protection type,and determine the different reconstruction requirements for each.Then,for the sections which are most likely to be reconstructed,one by one analysis the cost of traditional style damage at different degrees of reconstruction.The fourth part,calculate network traffic flow of the Quanzhou ancient city road traffic improvement plan,and use it as the indicator of traffic demand to compare with road capacity,get the result as the traffic supply-demand relationship indicator to guild feedback regulation.At last,briefly summarize the results of the research.These results can provide some reference value for the traffic improvement research of historical center in our country.Meanwhile,briefly discuss the further study contents that will need to be done in the future. |
