Recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed railway and electrified railway in China, the contact wire system has taken on the important task to supply power to motor car and electric locomotive. The reliability of the contact wire system's power supplying will directly affect the safe operation of high-speed railway and electrified railway, so the daily maintenance of the contact wire is essential.The temporary grounding wire is an important part of the contact network outage maintenance operation meanwhile a safety barrier for it. The information management of existing ground wire utilizes the traditional manual management,determining that the accuracy of the information is completely dependent on the staffs sense of responsibility and the staff's compliance to the operational rules. By this way, the power supply dispatching personnel could not get the concrete situation and the whole operating process is lack of effective monitoring, both of which result in the long existence of management loopholes and hidden dangers of accidents. Designing and developing a management system for temporary grounding wire have great significance in real-time online monitoring operation of the state of the grounding wire during the repairing process.Based on the analysis of the contact network outage maintenance operation procedure, this research realized the whole process from describing objects to the realization of functional structure with the concrete requirement of each function in the temporary grounding wire managing system as objects. In allusion to the specific characteristics of the contact network such as the scattering maintenance area, the long distance, the large amount of information data in related operation, etc., this research mainly realized these functions by utilizing multi-thread programming. First, with Visual C++ 6.0 as the system development platform which is combined with MSComm widget, it realized the issue of working ticket. Then, it realized real-time online monitoring of the grounding wire's state after decoding the related information data which is gathered and sent by the information acquisition device in the working site and displaying these data in the form of words and images in the managing interface. Second, it realized the real-time calibration of the operating location and state of the grounding wire in circuit topology and the GPS map by dealing with the operating information data through the way of binding MapX control programming technology with the Maplnfo processing data. In this way, this research actually has already realized the visualization management of the grounding wire. Third, with Microsoft Office Access2003 as the background database, it realized the management of the historical and real-time information of the operating data and wiring data by accessing the database with ADO.The author of this paper has done functional testing and field debugging on the temporary grounding wire management system. And the author mainly applied this system in the wire maintenance work in the HuaShan Railway Station which is in the Xi'an power supply section of Xi'an Railway Bureau, with the results of operation and utilization of the system quite well.
