In order to maintain the wind turbine,it is needed to lift the personnel and maintenance equipment to the top of the tower to operate,which is as high as hundred meters.But,there exists a big problem,specifically,how to make sure it can be lifted safely and efficiently.To address this issue,a wind tower climbing platform is designed.By using the using magnetic adsorption force on the tower wall,it can realize two functions: one is to go up and down freely along the tower wall,the other is to carry the maintenance of personnel and equipment.The key components of the platform include the adjustable diameter truss and magnetic wall-climbing robot,the adjustable diameter truss and magnetic adsorption unit is designed in this paper.On the basis of the platform of Pro/E,the digital model is established,which turns out that it can satisfy the requirements of this function.Based on the ADAMS,the statics analysis and modal analysis are conducted to analyze the key mechanical components,which can be found that this design can meet the requirements of strength and stiffness.Moreover,the ANSYS is used to analyze magnetic adsorption unit from the two dimensional magnetic fields.Finally,the experiment shows that the adsorption force of improved diameter truss is more potent,which can better meet the design requirements.
