APMC (Adjustable Permanent Magnetic Coupler, APMC) is a speed control and energy-saving equipment with new concept. It controls the output speed or torque by regulating air gap length, uses pure mechanical structure, transfers torque through the force between magnetic fields, realizes the non-contact energy transmission, and has become a research focus in permanent magnet drive technology application. Compared with the traditional technology of frequency conversion and speed control, APMC has many advantages, such as simply maintenance, tolerating error of centralization, reducing the vibration transfer, avoiding electric power harmonic pollution and electromagnetic interference, etc. APMC has been successfully used in electric power, petrochemical industry and other fields. But its application is far from mature stage, and has a lot of problems to be studied and improved. For this, structure, magnetic circuit and modeling analysis technology of APMC are researched systemly and deeply in this paper.These studies have an important significance on the products of the APMC.The article describes the structure principle and working principle of APMC in detail, expounds the innovative energy conservation idea of this equipment, expands on equipment structure based on new magnetic circuit principle of APMC, trys different structure forms and air gap adjusting device, enrichs structure system of APMC.Modeling of 2d linear layer method is too complicated and cockamamie, established analytical model can’t reflect the influence of the design parameters on the APMC performance systemly and deeply. In allusion to this key problem, this paper looks up a number of literatures and establishs the analytical model of APMC based on variable separation method, discusses two design schemes of conductor rotor in APMC, namely single-layer/multi-layer structure, applys the analytical model to the numerical comparative analysis, confirmes the superiority of multilayer structure in improving transmission torque. At the same time, APMC is simulated and analysed by ANSYS software in 2d. Simulation results prove that the established analytical model is effective. Finally, this paper uses analytical model of APMC to optimize the design parameters, realizes the optimization allocation of parameters.Numerical analysis of APMC mainly uses 2d finite element method, the accuracy of analysis results is not high enough. In allusion to this problem, this paper looks up a number of literatures and establishs the electromagnetic field simulation model of APMC based on 3D finite element method, firstly studies the distribution of static magnetic field in APMC by static analysis, then focuses on dynamic simulation analysis of APMC, researchs the distribution of eddy current field, coupling magnetic field and coupling force, explores the influence of structure parameters on eddy current, eddy current loss and torque.A small power APMC is built based on theory research, experimental platform is set up and experimental analysis is completed, experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical research in this paperPath of eddy current loop is not standard, there are a lot of stray current in loop. In allusion to these problems, this paper improves magnetic circuit structure of APMC, discusses a magnetic circuit structure with slotted conductor disk. This magnetic circuit structure is simulated and analysed by ANSYS software through 2d. Simulation results prove that the superiority of slotted magnetic circuit structure in improving transmission torque. Then slotted magnetic circuit structure is simulated and analysed by ANSYS software through 3d, optimizing effect of eddy current path is shown, the dynamic characteristics of electromagnetic fields are study. Finally, in order to increase magnetic flux density in slotted magnetic circuit and enhance further efficiency of APMC, this paper presents a design method of slotted conductor disk filled with steel and introduces the improved slotted magnetic circuit structure. This magnetic circuit structure is simulated and analysed by ANSYS software through 2d.Simulation results prove that the improved slotted magnetic circuit structure is very efficient.
