| Adjustable reactor can be seen as a common continuous and smooth regulating capacity flexible AC transmission equipment,in the mean time,it has wide applications in the aspects of adjusting the voltage,reactive power regulation and improving power system stability,too.However,with the rapid development of high voltage power grid,especially the UHV power grid,the performance index of the adjustable reactor becomes stricter and stricter.Therefore,it is great significant in electric power system to study small size,large capacity,low noise and high reliability adjustable reactor.Due to high heavy moving iron of the traditional adjustable air-gap type reactor,it has slow response speed and large vibration loss.While the general magnetic-wedge reactor has a too long stroke and the adjustment speed of inductance quantity is slow.Then,it can not achieve the rapid adjustment of the inductance.Aiming at this problem,this paper presents a new type magnetic-wedge reactor,which is named as the serrated magnetic-wedge adjustable power reactor.This paper describes reactor working principle in detail.And it analyzes its three adjustable situations combined with the analogy circuits as well.Meanwhile,according to the design formula of power transformer,I summarize a novel formula for the design of the serrated magnetic-wedge adjustable power reactor.Additionally based on the new formula,an 8k VA experimental prototype is designed.The LMATRIX macro command of ANSYS finite element analysis software is taken to improve the structure and the size of the prototype,moreover,on the case of the initial and final magnetic field establishment,the simulation of the magnetic field and the inductance characteristics of the prototype are carried out.Then the FMAGSUM macros command of ANSYS is applied to obtain the electromagnetic force analysis and validate rationality of the prototype electric machine selection.According to the design parameter and the simulation model,the prototype generator has been made.After that,the experiment has been run,then,the inductance adjustment characteristic curve has gained.From the experimental aspect and the practical aspect,the novel method has been verified.The result shows the serrated magnetic-wedge adjustable power reactor has the same inductance adjustment characteristic as the general type magnetic wedge one.When its actual route of the serrated magnetic wedge only needs to achieve half width of single tooth width and single groove width,it can change its inductance between the maximum value and the minimum value.Furthermore,its adjustment speed is several times more than the general magnetic wedge type reactor.Since then,it can achieve rapid change in inductance. |
