At present, as a kind of renewable resource wind energy is widely used. With the shortage of wind field resources, the development of wind turbine design toward the trend of large capacity. The gear box as the core component of wind turbine equipment is the key link to change the wind energy into kinetic energy. Therefore, the life of the gear box greatly determines the life of the whole machine, and is the key component of the wind turbine. The contact precision of involute gear pair after installation has a key effect on the strength, life and stability of the gear.In this paper, combined with the software of UGNX4.0 and WIND ROMAX, when the wind gearbox are running under difference load, to simulate the modification gearbox, which can demonstrate the rationality of modification parameters. And the changes of security strength of gear tooth are discussed. It is concluded that the correct modification of gears is the main method to ensure the life of gears.The main analysis of the involute helical gear which is used in the factory practice, the main factors which lead to the error of the machining accuracy of the gear are analyzed, like gear in the production process to produce contact accuracy of the gear pairs of links(mainly including: machine tools, cutting tools, gear blanks, installation, etc.). Combined with the production practice, further study on hardened involute cylindrical gears in the gear blank processing, hobbing, heat treatment, grinding teeth and conventional machining method of gear, from the work principle of the machine, tool selection and installation, tooling and fixture used, cut chip process parameter setting and other aspects can produce all kinds of gear error. At the same time, the influence of various manufacturing factors on the deviation of the axis of the gear center in the assembly process is studied, and the influence of the factors on the gear meshing contact precision is also found.With the analysis of the various factors of the whole manufacturing gear link comprehensive summary, the effective technological means and methods to improve the contact precision of gears are put forward, and applied in production practice.
