Straight bevel gear is mainly used in automobile differential,it is an important component of automobile axle differential,and its main function is to drive the left and right wheels to rotate at different speeds,and reduce the wear of tires.The gear produced by precision forging technology can significantly enhance the strength of the gear,and has the advantages of material saving,high efficiency,and so on,so it can be widely used.This paper focus on improving the heavy truck axle differential in spur bevel gear comprehensive performance,analysis of the differential gear meshing performance and assembly error,and conducted a comprehensive control through the tooth backlash control,tooth surface modification,precision forging process and machining process,carried out the following work:First,the determination of the side gap value of the precision forging gear is analyzed and studied.Precision forging gear installation position is changed,the gear meshing position at different angle to the side gap of different values,through the analysis to deduce the side gap value change factors on the gear meshing principle,the different angular backlash between gear teeth meshing position can accurately determine the difference of straight bevel gear mounting surface location theory.Secondly,the main factor that causes the noise and vibration of the gear is the transmission error of the gear teeth during the meshing process.The transmission noise can be reduced by proper modification of the gear.This paper derives the spherical involute curve equation,and uses the UG software to complete the three-dimensional modeling of the planetary semi axle gear.By comparing the effect of straight-line modification,circular arc modification and involute modification,it is concluded that involute and circular arc composite modification can effectively improve the transmission noise and contact area,and the equal radius arc modification can improve the gear end engagement.The modification effect is verified by the experiment.Then,the process of forging gear blank for precision forging is analyzed.There are many factors that affect the gear shape in the process of hot die forging and precision forging.Through studying some key technologies in precision forging process and increasing cold finishing process after forging,the quality of forging billet can be significantly improved.In the process of mold manufacturing,the establishment of the tooth profile testing standard can improve the consistency of gear teeth of each batch.Finally,the machining process of the precision forging gear is analyzed.During the machining process of precision forging gear,the machining of the mounting surface,the runout of the end face,the quality of the spline and the profile of the spherical surface will have a great influence on the use of the finished gear.This paper analyzes the source of the error in the key process in the process of machining,and puts forward the corresponding solutions.
