A number of sample tests are needed for the formed ductile iron pipe(cast iron pipe)to determine whether the cast iron pipe meets the national standards.Only through type testing,the product can be officially put into production.At present,the steel tube tester on the market is used on the production line to test its bearing capacity or seal performance.however,there is hardly any type of experimental equipment to test whether cast iron pipe meets the standard.This paper combined test standard with cast iron pipe interface sealing performance and bearing capacity of the actual situation and compared the steel tube tester which under different working conditions,designed ductile cast iron pipe type testing device which can detect iron pipe pressureability and thejoint sealing performance under different working conditions.The structural style,system composition,feeding and discharging,sealed form of ductile iron pipe type test device were introduced in this paper and a testing machine was designed.Some main components selection were calculated and analyzed,the testing procedures are introduced in details.During the ductile pipe sealing test,the sealing performance was a key factors to the success of test.Two seal aspects were involved in the design of ductile iron pipe type testing machine in this thesis,which were interface and end seal.The selection of ductile iron pipe diameter during the socket seal respectively 100 mm,200mm,400 mm and 600 mm,and the interference fit were 1mm,2mm,3mm,4mm and 5mm on finite element analysis,and compaired the stress and strain of the sealing ring.Finally,under the same interference drawn the conclusion that the larger the diameter is the greater hydraulic thrust required,the maximum thrust was 4327 N.During the analysis of the end seal,the ductile pipe and O-rings were analyzed firstly,then the influence of different amount compressed and water pressure on the stress and strain of O-rings were analyzed and evaluated the sealing performance of O-rings.Found that without water pressure,the maximum contact stress of O-rings and the maximum Von Mises stress increased with pipe diameter,the maximum contact stress and the maximum Von Mises stress were 7.56 MPa,6.18 MPa.Under the water pressure of 20 MPa,the maximum contact stress andthemaximum Von Mises stress were 27.87 MPa,14.68 MPa.According to the results of this analysis,the ductile iron pipe type designed in this paper satisfiedthe testing of different pipediameterjoint sealingperformance.
