Objectiving todevelop a press-fitting type pipeline mechanical connector and its installation tool, whichcan finish the pipeline fast reliable connection..This paper focuses on the working principle, composition and structure of thepress-fitting type pipeline mechanical connector and discusses the influences of the actualworking environment extrinsic factors on the connector sealing performance. With thelarge finite element analysis software of ANSYS to simulate connector installation process,preliminary verified the structural design of the mechanical connector satisfied the sealingrequirements, Then analyzed the influence of extrusion friction in the installation processon the entire installation process, including installation loading force, contact surfacemetal organizational performance and so on. On the basis of the above analysis, by theanalyzed of the design requirements of the press-fitting type pipeline mechanicalconnector installation tools and the working environment, this paper presents the designscheme of the installation tools. Designed the key structure of the installation tools andchecked them to ensure its rationality and reliability.
