Compared with noise reduction after the completion of the construction of ships,designing noise protection, using the software to predict cabin noise and proposing control scheme in the ship design stage can shorten the shipbuilding cycle and reduce shipbuilding costs. So, the prediction and control technology research of the full-band noise in the cabin ship design stage is important. In order to meet people's comfort requirements and optimize the noise design of the ship, the article studied that the numerical methods were used to predict and control the ship cabins full-band noise. The predicted results and main ingredient of cabin nosie were analyzed,and the cabin noise control solution was optimized. Therefore,the article made the following points:Firstly, it studied the basic assumptions and basic theory and fundamentals and basic process of constructing and solving equations of Statistical Energy Analysis method (SEA)and finite element method (FEM) that were commonly noise prediction methods. Particularly,the calculation methods of the basic parameters and the excitation source input power of noise Prediction were elaborated.Secondly,based on SEA method, software VA one was applied to establish the SEA model of the target ship. Modal density and excitation power input and other parameters were calculated to figure out the intermediate frequency noise level of the cab. Then, based on FEM method, software LMS Virtual Lab was used to build target ship finite element model and calculate the low-frequency noise level of the cab; Thepredicted results were finally evaluated separately according to the new standard of noise.Finally, The model was emulated and analyzed to study the influence of the cabin media and compartments simplify and ribs and other factors on the cab noise prediction results. And spectral analysis of the cab noise prediction results could illustrate the main components of the cab noise. And the most suitable cab noise control measures were selected to given the initial cabin noise reduction program on account of the analysis of the cab noise prediction results. Then, according to the basic principle of the damping, the effects of the form and the laying location and physical characteristics of the damping on the noise reduction effect of the cab were studied to optimize noise reduction scheme.
