At present,with the growing demand for electricity,substation electrical equipment load enhances unceasingly.At the same time,the failure and accidentcaused by the hot defect of the equipment are also unceasingly increasing.These thingshave caused huge economic losses and even caused the personnel casualties.So it should be timely and accurate detection the hot defects of substation electrical equipment and guarantee the safe and stable operation of power equipment.This paper uses the infrared detection technology.With using the refrigeration focal plane thermography to diagnose transformer substation electrical equipment in to realize the substation defects of online diagnosis.Firstly,this paper analyzes the background and significance,and the developing situation of infrared imaging technology at home and abroad.It also analyzes the application of infrared diagnostic in substation.Introduces the nature the prevalence of infrared characteristics,according to electrical equipment heating defect classification,respectively introduces the characteristics.Secondly,the author summed up according to the actual work experience,application of infrared diagnosis technology in power grid transformers,circuit breakers,current transformer and electric two typical equipment fault diagnosis and analysis,description of the infrared diagnosis technology for power equipment and defect detection and diagnosis,relative sensitive,accurate,reliable,effect is remarkable,analysis and judgment is simple,suitable for power system application.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the application of infrared diagnosing in Yuhang substation electrical equipment.It also analyzes substation site concreteoperation,requirements,key diagnostic parts,diagnostic cycle,judging method,defect type penalty and the solving methods.
