As the core hub of the power grid substation.With the increasing demand for electricity in people's industry and life.Electrical equipment accidents caused by thermal defects in substations continue to increase.Especially when the power grid reaches the peak,more and more power accidents in substations caused by excessive thermal defects.So,in order to ensure the reliable and stable operation of high-voltage equipment in the station,it is necessary to use very reliable,intelligent and efficient means to diagnose the thermal defects of the equipment in operation.To avoid further expansion of equipment anomalies.Infrared thermometry is a kind of technology that can measure the temperature of equipment without power failure.It has many advantages over other test instruments in equipment diagnosis.The main work of the author is to maintain the equipment in the station.In practice,the infrared temperature measurement technology plays a significant role in operation and maintenance.This paper briefly describes the classification and grading of equipment defects,and summarizes and analyses several common overheating phenomena in recent years.Based on some typical cases of infrared thermometry in practical work,the application of infrared thermometry in the diagnosis and analysis of equipment defects is analyzed.Several methods of infrared temperature measurement technology are analyzed,and the most commonly used and effective technical means of substation operation and maintenance is explored.Infrared temperature measurement technology is the most efficient technology in substation operation and maintenance.So,at present,the author's unit has gradually standardized the use process and defect grading method of infrared temperature measurement.Finally,we need to achieve the most concise process of equipment maintenance with the cooperation of infrared temperature measurement technology,and improve the efficiency of fault diagnosis and elimination.
