With the development of modern industry and the improvement of residential power consumption, the scale of electrical equipment's invest and construction is also increasing. efficient control of powercost concerns the sound development of power industry. For single power equipment,purchase and construction cost account for larger proportion of the total cost at the beginning of the its operation , but at a later stage, operation maintenance cost accounts for larger proportion of the total.It means that there is optimal economic life that can optimize the life cycle cost. But the efficiency of equipment can't be obtained through studying economic life, so it is necessary to study the efficiency evaluate of equipment based on the optimal LCC cost This paper studies the economic life of power equipment and transformer substation through the example analysis of Bazhou power grid.Firstly, the paper analyzes the classification, definition, application and research method of equipment life and then it studies the constitute, calculation and estimation method. Secondly, it proposes the conception of LCC mode and studies the distribution function of the instantaneous dynamic cost of LCC mode including the estimation of initial outlay cost and the distribution pattern of instantaneous dynamic cost and finally adopting Weibull distribution to describe the distribution pattern of dynamic cost. Then it puts forward the method of derivation to solve optimal power equipment economic life based on LCC. the superiority of the method is verified by the life cycle cost of a 35kV transformer substation breaker in Bazhou power grid. Thirdly, it involves many uncertain factors to evaluate on the efficiency of power equipment in the whole life cycle, therefore This paper puts forward fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model to evaluate on it. Finally, the superiority of cost and effectiveness comprehensive assessment is verified by the type-selecting scheme of a 35kV transformer substation breaker in Bazhou power grid.
