Based on six different masonry types of autoclaved aerated concrete self insulation block walls of horizontal low cyclic loading test,this paper studies failure characteristics and seismic behavior of walls under different vertical compressive stresses and different types of mortar joint,gets hysteretic curve,skeleton curve and stiffness degradation curve of walls.And ductility,energy dissipation,deformation performance,and the cracking load,ultimate load,failure load and corresponding displacement of walls are analyzed.According to test results of shear strength of walls and referring to existing formulas of shear strength of masonry structure,the formula for calculating shear strength of various masonry walls is obtained.Test and analysis results show that:(1)The failure mode of autoclaved aerated concrete self insulation block wall is mainly shear failure mode.The main crack shape of vertical mortar joint without rock wool is crossing diagonal cracks of type X in the middle of walls,which is mainly through the block itself.And the main crack shape of vertical mortar joint with rock wool walls is Y type or inverted Y type crack,the crack is carried out from vertical mortar joint,and gradually develops through the side of building blocks.(2)In the same type of walls,the greater vertical compressive stress is,the greater ultimate load is,but ultimate displacement and failure disp lacement will be reduced accordingly,and deformation property will be affected.That is,shear strength of walls under high vertical load is larger,and ductility and deformation of walls are better under low vertical load.(3)Under the same condition of vertical compressive stress,rigidity of walls with mortar joint thickness of 10 mm is the largest,and rigidity of walls with mortar joint thickness of 5mm is the second,and rigidity of vertical mortar joint with rock wool walls is the smal est.(4)Researching seismic test on autoclaved aerated concrete self insulation block walls with different mortar joint types,we can refer to anti seismic shear strength calculation formula of "Application of autoclaved aerated concrete technical specification for bu ilding"(JGJT17-2008)to calculate shear strength of test walls.
