Along with the worsen of environment, the disposal of industrial waste residue has become a big important problem in using fossil energy in our country. As one of the most discharge industrial waste residue, it is significance to improve the fly-ash’s comprehensive utilization rate. As a kind of wall materials, autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block can not only play an important role in heat preservation and insulation of building, but also be beneficial to multipurpose use of fly-ash and other wastes for taking effect on energy conservation and emission reduction. Studying on this block’s basic mechanical properties and the wall’s application has very much significance.Autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block is composed of fly-ash aerated concrete block and polystyrene board, and it has the advantages of light weight, thermal insulation and so on. Also it’s durability and fire resistance are very good. Compared with outer-wall external thermal insulation systems, autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block wall self-insulation system has better building property, less processes of design and construction, fewer cost of project, and lower construction difficulty of outer wall of buildings. It is an insulation system which can not only be economical and practical, but also conform with building energy efficiency and heat preservation requirements. For account of the above reasons and with the fund of construction department of Shanxi Province, the composed way and materials constitute of autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block has been studied in this test, and experiments of basic mechanical properties of this composite block has been done.Also, combined with an example, a building model which takes the glazed hollow bead insulation concrete frame-shear wall structure using autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block as infilled wall was built, and energy consumption of this model was analyzed by theory and software simulation.The specific job of this research include the following several aspects:(1) Through the research of the complex method of many composite blocks, we choose to paste autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete block and EPS.In this test, the raw material and composition of this composite block was also analyzed.(2) There are four basic mechanical properties of autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block that are compression resistance of leaf block, compression performance of polystyrene board, connection strength of specimens along the thickness direction of block and compressive strength of composite block. Through four experiments of this mechanical properties, a conclusion was reached that all of the four basic mechanical properties which include compression resistance of leaf block, compression performance of polystyrene board, connection strength of specimens along the thickness direction of block and compressive strength of composite block can satisfied the relevant stipulation. The compressive strength of composite block was a little higher than the compression resistance of leaf block, and therefore the compression resistance grade of leaf block can represents the one of composite block in design.(3) According to energy consumption theory, analysis of the building which takes glazed hollow bead insulation concrete frame structure using autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block infilled wall was done. The result shows that energy consumption indicators is11.022W/m2, satisfying the65%target of building energy efficiency in Taiyuan. Contrapose two climatic regions of Taiyuan and Datong, the DeST-h software was applied to built two identical building models. Though software simulation analysis of this building model, the energy consumption situation of the whole building was obtained. The result makes it clear that this structure system can satisfy the65%target of building energy efficiency of four floors building and higher ones in cold region in Shanxi Province.(4) Autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block wall self-insulation system has advantages of light weight, high integrity, good insulation and comprehensiveness, so it is advanced on technology. By means of making static and dynamic economic state comparison between the autoclaved fly-ash aerated concrete composite block wall self-insulation system and EPS board thermal insulation system, XPS board thermal insulation system and glazed hollow bead insulation mortar thermal insulation system, it was shown that this self-insulation system has the lowest cost that is the superiority in economy.
