With the increasing of the equipment function, the reliabilitye of the equipment is declining, and the cost of the maintenance is increasing. Considering the maintainability of equipment in the design stage of the equipment, and making evaluation on its maintainability before it is put into production are conducive to timely find the design problem in maintenance and timely to improve. In this paper, an evaluation model maintainability design is established based on the simulation of maintenance. In this paper, the main work done is as follows.Firstly, determine the equipment maintainability design evaluation index set.Maintainability influencing factors include the accessibility of contact, ergonomic and maintenance tasks. The accessibility of contact is composed of space accessibility, demount accessibility and vision accessibility. The ergonomic include comfort level and labor intensity.The maintenance tasks index include maintenance time, standardization, interchangeability and error-proofing design. Three levels of the evaluation index system are established.Secondly, design requirements and evaluation methods of every index properties were studied. This paper establish the maintenance accessibility evaluation method in the simulation, and the hierarchy of each evaluation index were determined.Thirdly, the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of MODAPTS and maintenance simulation on computing time. And a calculation method on the time are proposed based on the virtual simulation.Fourthly, determine the membership degree of each evaluation value for evaluating function. Based on the fuzzy evaluation method, comprehensive evaluation model of maintainability design is established.Lastly, to a certain type of aircraft landing gear shock strut as example, verifies the feasibility of maintainability design evaluation model proposed in this paper. Through the evaluation of maintenance, the maintainability design of the shock strut is good and the ergonomic is in a medium level. The shock strut of maintainability design improvement opinions is put forward.
