Water is the source of life,foundation of life.For the city,water is a pulse of life of urban development.As the population,capital and other elements highly gathered in city,city is rapidly expanding and gradually formed as a set of water supply,water use and drainage highly integrated area.Flood drainage has becoming the key problems need to solve in the process of the urbanization.In order to coordinated with urbanization,construction task of flood drainage system for city is more and more important.To ensure the safety of city flood control is becoming more and more demanding.The Lanzhou new district is located in the Qin wang chuan basin.The Qin wang chuan basin belongs to basin geomorphic type of loess gully,north of the basin is low mountain areas,east,west and south of the basin are low loess hills,the inner of basin is dominated by the alluvial-proluvial plain.The peripheral low mountains and loess hilly regions are bare of vegetation and rainfall is extremely prone to flooding,however,the flood control system in the Lanzhou new district has not yet been built due to the weak economic foundation and the slow development of the economy.With the large-scale construction of the city and the enterprises are moving in one after another,the threat from flash floods around the new district is growing bigger.The construction of drainage channel projects can gradually establish the flood control system of Lanzhou new district,reduce the threat of flooding to the new district and protect the safety of the city,improve the investment environment,living environment and water environment of the city,and also have played a positive role in improving the living standards of people in cities,introducing foreign investment and developing regional economies.Starting from the actual situation in Lanzhou new district,the research status of flood drainage system at home and abroad are discussed in this paper,and the necessity of constructing drainage channel project is proposed.Then combined with the related discipline theory,overall planning of Lanzhou new district and various factors such as social and economic conditions,through the analysis of the design flood computation,technical and economic comparison,comprehensive consideration,etc.Make sure the design of drainage channel for the Lanzhou new district.This paper also makes a theoretical guidance for constructing drainage channel,has important significance to perfect the flood drainage system and strengthen the management of flood drainage.Meanwhile,also has certain reference value to construct and manage flood drainage system for other cities.City drainage channel is an urban infrastructure construction program,for the development of new district in Lanzhou,its significance is not only a simple flood control and drainage engineering,but also a support to sustainable development of city.It can make the improvement of the living environment and restoration of ecosystem harmony and unity,and make the city enter into virtuous circle.Under the new circumstances,how to adhere to the scientific outlook on overall,harmonious and sustainable development,apply relevant theoretical knowledge to construct the drainage channel of the city from the principle of harmonious between human and water is the important content in the construction of Lanzhou new district.
