Blanket is the fundamental component in fusion reactor for it plays the role of tritium breeding,energy transforming and radiation shielding.Since the blanket stays under the condition of strong magnetic field,the effect of electromagnetic load is vital to evaluate.It mainly consists of static load caused by ferromagnetic effect and transient load resulting from induced eddy currents.In this paper,electromagnetic assessment of helium cooled solid breeder blanket(HCSB)for Chinese Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR)was performed and analyzed.Firstly,the static electromagnetic analysis for CFETR HCSB was conducted with the magnetic system model built referring to the design report of CFETR Host System.The static analysis was implemented through MAXWELL software integrated into ANSYS Workbench with the electromagnetic analysis model including magnetic system,plasma and the blankets built by the CATIA software.According to the computation,the magnetic force and moment was obtained for the outer blanket on the equatorial plane(classic blanket)under static circumstance.Secondly,transient conditions consisting of main disruption(MD)and vertical displacement event(VDE)were computed and analyzed.The classic blanket was studied in the situation of MD defined by two types of plasma current decay,linear attenuation and exponential attenuation.In each decay mode,the ferromagnetic effect was studied by adding the true relative permeability or the vacuum one.The force,moment,eddy current density and magnetic field changing with time were computed at the MD condition.Besides,the transient event of VDE was studied with a relatively different model where the plasma was described by 69 filaments instead of only one part,and the whole 15 blankets laying in the same toroidal-poloidal face were explored with.Once again,the research of ferromagnetic effect was carried out and the magnetic field,induced eddy currents,magnetic force as well as moment were computed.Finally,integrated stress evaluation considering the electromagnetic load was conducted based on the thermal-mechanic analysis on the classic blanket with a reference of ITER structural design criteria for in-vessel components(SDC-IC)and European RCC-MX.The evaluation was conducted by linearing the most demanding part of the first wall,covering plate,stiffing plate,cooling plates and the back plates.According to the results,all parts of the blanket reach the standard of the criteria.Averaging all the node stress of the blanket model,the mechanic stress,thermal stress,thermal-mechanical stress,electromagnetic stress,primary stress as well as the thermal-mechanical-electromagnetic stress were obtained respectively.
