The Water Cooled Ceramic Breeder(WCCB)blanket is one of the candidate blankets for Chinese Fusion Engineering Test Reactor(CFETR).To achieve the trritium self-sufficency for CFETR(TBR?1.1),the structural design of WCCB blanket and research on mechanical performance of WCCB blanket are performed based on the neutronics design and thermal-hydraulic design of blanket.The reliability and safety of the structural design of blanket are verified.It would provide an important reference for the engineering design and manufacture of blanket for CFETR."Once-through" concept is adopted for the WCCB blanket.Based on the optimized one-dimentional(ID)radial layout of blankets which are obtained using the Nuclear-Thermal-Coupled Optimization(NTOC)code,the 3D sturctural design of ten blanekts in a sector is accomplished.The cooling plates(CPs)are integrated and series connection is adopted for the cooling scheme of the CPs to achieve a more uniform flow distribution.To reduce the pressure drop of purge gas,a toroidal sweeping scheme which is featured with short flow path is proposed.It is achieved by integrating the purge gas system in the SWs/SPs.The static magnetic analysis and transient magnetic analysis of blankets are carried out based on full model of blankets in a sector adopting the magnetic scalar potential(MSP)method and the magnetic vector potential(MVP)method,respectively.The magnetization force can be obtained as a result.The magnetization force and Lorentz force applied on blankets are obtained.They are part of mechanical loads for multi-physics coupling structural analysis of blanket.The transient analysis results under vertical displacement event(VDE)show that an enormous Lorentz force(271 kN)is applied on tungsten armor when a "one-piece"sturcture is adoped for tungsten armor.The ""small module" structure is recommended for tungsten armor to reduce the Lorentz force applied on armor.Taking the magnetic loads into consideration,the multi-physics coupling structural analysis of blanket under steady-state operating condition is accomplished to investigare the mechanical performance of blanket comprehensively.The stress field of blanket meet the structural design requirements,referring to the ITER SDC-IC code.Referring to the operation scheme of ITER plasma,the multi-physics coupling structural analysis of blanket under the pulsed operation condition is accomplished to investigare the mechanical performance of blanket under cyclic loading.According to the assessment results of C-typedamage modes,the blanket will not fail due to fatigue of structural components during the life cycle...
