| In recent years,China has been confronted with increasingly serious waterlogging and water shortage in urban cities,posing extremely adverse impact on people’s lives.From these common failings of cities it can be concluded that the old drainage design and facilities have far lagged behind urban development.In 2013 President Xi Jinping explicitly put forward a construction target of "sponge cities" that are capable of water absorbing and purifying.A sponge city refers to one that has good flexibility as the sponge when facing environmental changes and natural disasters.The construction of green space in the background of the sponge city drive differs from the traditional ideas.It is of vital importance for the improvement in sponge city system to build a new type of green space in a sound and reasonable manner.In this paper,taking Baicheng City,which is one of the first batch of pilot cities,as the main object of study,the author hopes to make a reference for small and medium-sized cities in their efforts on building a new type of green space in sponge city drive.First of all,the study framework is confirmed based on research on the relevant theories and documentation,as well as the domestic and international analysis of the status quo of construction.Secondly,the detailed investigation,statistics and analysis of the current situation and existing problems in urban greenbelt construction are made on the basis of the background of Baicheng City’s applying for a pilot base for sponge city.Thirdly,according to the norms concerned and existing engineering investigation,the author proposes the blueprint and routes for building a new type of green space.Finally,through the comprehensive evaluation of the city’s construction of new green space in pilot area,the author extends the study to the construction and research on the objectives,principles,steps and evaluation systems for green space construction in small and medium-sized cities in China. |
