Study On The Planning And Construction Of Chinese Botanic Garden In Small And Medium-sized Cities

With the development of the times and sociaty,the function of the botanical garden has become more and more perfect.The botanical garden has many functions such as protecting germplasm resources,scientific research,popular science education,and landscape recreation.It plays an increasingly important role in promoting ecological civilization construction and improving urban quality.China’s small and medium-sized cities are an important force in promoting the development of the national economy,and the demand for the construction of botanical gardens is increasing with the process of urbanization.However,the planning and construction of small and medium-sized city botanical gardens in China is faced with problems such as uneven distribution,single function,lack of features,and inadequate management and maintenance.It is of great practical significance to study the planning and construction of small and medium-sized city botanical gardens.Through the literature review method,case analysis method and planning practice method,the basic concepts,functions and development history of the botanical garden were summarized.The common methods of classification of botanical gardens were summarized,and the classification method of botanical gardens according to city scale was proposed.The number and situation of botanical gardens built and under construction in China were counted and analyzed.According to the statistical results,based on 273 established botanical gardens distributed in 179 cities in 34 provinces,130 completed botanical gardens in 103 small and medium-sized cities were analyzed.The status quo of construction time,geographical division,ecological function zoning and main functions of small and medium-sized city botanical gardens in China was summarized,and the main problems of planning and construction were summarized.The planning concept,site selection,positioning,zoning,function,regional characteristics and operation management of the planning and construction in small and medium-sized city botanical gardens were comprehensively studied.The Zhoukou City Botanical Garden was taken as an example to carry out planning and practice.Based on comprehensive theory and practice,the strategies of small and medium-sized city botanical gardens in planning positioning,site selection,function play,plant collection,popular science recreation,and fund raising were proposed.It was also recommended that the relevant departments make a lower limit on the number of plants collected in the botanical garden,which has certain reference significance for the planning and construction of small and medium city botanical gardens in China.
