Research On Project Construction Cost Risk Based On BIM Technology

As the development of China's economy and urbanization,construction industry is developing faster and deeper?Because of the long time of the construction period and huge cost with all kinds of workers and bad management,the total cost of the building is increased substantially,and in the end the cost is going to be out of the control.The management of Cost risk is to take proper actions to get the best repayment using the minimum price.Cost risk management is the identification,assessment,and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize,monitor,and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.Building Information Modelling(BIM)is the process of generating three-dimensional,digital representation of building data throughout its life cycle.BIM is an innovative technology for bridging communications between the architecture,engineering and construction industries.Also,with the data packed BIM models,various sustainability design and environmental studies could be carried out,such as lighting,ventilation,energy,carbon emission and green design,etc.This paper combines cost risk management and BIM analysis BIM application in management of cost risk management.The advantages of BIM technique in the cost risk management is discussed from the point of view of the recognition of cost risk.The reasons why there is much cost risk is studied and some measures is given to take control the cost risk using BIM frameworks according to special period of the process of engineering construction,which is helpful in some related works.The difficulties of application of BIM in cost risk management is also discussed and analyzed,giving several advices on how to solve the problems.
