With the widely application of sonar buoy in marine military and scientific exploration,the world has paid more and more attention to its research.At present,the low cost,small size,high precision,low power consumption and stable performance become the main development trend of sonar buoy.In view of the present situation,a new sonar buoy system is developed for underwater acoustic detection by using MEMS vector hydrophone developed by the North University of China.The application of MEMS vector hydrophone in buoy detection system is a new type of passive directional sonobuoy system.The MEMS vector hydrophone has the characteristics of high sensitivity,low cost,small volume and low power consumption,with those advantages the system has higher detection accuracy,smaller volume,lower cost and lower power consumption than the existing sonobuoy system.This system can achieve the data collection and storage,at the same time,it realizes the function of data remote wireless transmission and detection status remote monitoring.This paper has designed a sonar buoy system consists of buoy body,MEMS vector hydrophone,GPS module,electronic compass,signal conditioning and data acquisition module,SD storage module,wireless transmitting and receiving module and so on.When the system collects a variety of sensor signals,on the one hand,store the data in the SD card.On the other hand,transmit the data to the monitor on the computer through the wireless transmission module,then can realize the real-time monitoring of the working state of the sonobuoy system.Among them,MEMS vector hydrophone collects the underwater acoustic signal;the electronic compass collects the attitude signal of the system body;the GPS module obtains the real-time position information of the system.After the system is reclaimed,the detection data stored in the SD card can be read by the host computer,and then used to analyze the underwater acoustic signals.After the design of each part of the system is completed,then assemble a sonar buoy system prototype.Debug the system prototype,then carry out several indoor and outdoor test experiments.Finally,the results verify the feasibility of the system scheme and meet the system pre-design requirements.
