Lingquan Monastery in located in Shanying town, Anyang City. It is a Buddhist sanctuary at north of Henan province. There are many heritage of Buddhist culture which has great historical and research value about stupas construction. The number of shape and type of the stupas in Lingquan Monastery is one of the largest in Chinese Buddhist history. To make a detailed analysis about the modeling of Lingquan Monastery, the field research should be done,and the relevant information should be collected.Lingquan Monastery can be classified into two types by its construction form:Stone Tower and Cliff Caves.1 .Stone Tower: It builds by aggregate layer by layer from bottom to top in three dimension. There are two types of stupas belong to Stone Tower in Lingquan Monastery which are Beiqi stone tower and Tang stone tower.2.Cliff Caves:Cliff Caves is excavating a niche for buddha that imitate the architectural shape of the stupas and house to build tower-shape niche, house-shape niche or any other types of planarity construction form on the surface of the cliff. The buddha was propitiated in niche. In Lingquan Monastery, Cliff Caves was located in Bao shan district and Lanfeng shan district. It can be classified into five types by its buildingform:Tower-shapeniche,House-shape,Stele-shape,Dome-shapeand.Tower-sha pe niche is the representative form in Lingquan monastery which accounts for 70 percent of Cliff Caves.Most of the buddha are represent the ordinary practicing monk.The function of the niche is to honor and propitiate the monk who passed away. To understand the way how Buddhism art was evolved in Chinese style, the research should be done that focus on the history and development of its form.To sum up,the change of object which propitiated in Lingquan Monastery is the representation that Buddhism art was evolved in Chinese style. Lingquan Monastery became the largest place to propitiate Buddhist monk in north of the Henan province cause by the development of Buddhism in Ye and spread process of Buddhism in Silk Road. In addition, the development of Buddhism in the around area was affected.These arguments occupy an important place in research of Chinese Buddhism history.
