BIM(building information model)has been accepted by industry in Bridge Engineering.BIM is now in the initial stage of exploration in Bridge Engineering.However,related research and cases of BIM are inadequate in suspension bridge,which is characteristic of beautiful structure model and great spanning capacity.The long span suspension bridge is relatively flexible and construction conditions are changing in construction process.This structure also has intensive geometrical nonlinearity and there are few means to regulation error after construction.Therefore,high accuracy of construction monitoring calculation and providing intuitive 3D monitoring information for decision maker are of great importance.In the background of bridge informationization,the paper focus on long span suspension bridge construction monitoring based on BIM.The contents were as follows:(1)Bulid the long-span suspension bridge construction monitoring information model.The paper proposes definition and character of bridge construction monitoring information model based on basic idea and core feature of BIM.Monitoring information model is divided into 3 sub information models,design information model,construction information model and construction safety information model.The paper analysis data dimension of construction monitoring information and information model of different suspension bridge elements from BIM.In addition,the paper also builds framework of monitoring information model and describes the technologies needed for construction monitoring information model,such as structural analysis techniques in suspension bridge,geometric modeling technology,information model management technology,information model store technology and information model visualization technology.(2)Put forward the essence and the overall framework of construction monitoring information visualization platform and research on its key technology.Integrated and mature information platform is needed for bridge construction monitoring based on BIM.The paper puts forward the essence and the overall framework of construction monitoring information visualization platform and then presents the relevant key technology of its realization and has discussed in detail ACIS and HOOPS.In addition,the paper describes data store of platform and proposes technology path of construction monitoring information 3D visualization.(3)Design and implementation of suspension bridge construction monitoring information management platform and the introducation of key technologies for its realization.Design and implementation of the system management module,3D model and visualization module,monitoring information management module,mechanics information integration module were described in detail,which is based on ACIS/HOOPS component with Visual Studio 2010 MFC development.(4)Example of information management platform of suspension bridge construction monitoring.The information management platform of suspension bridge construction monitoring were proved by using analysis on application effect in engineering example.
