Partial discharge phenomenon refers to a phenomenon no breakdown discharge between two electrodes insulated from each other occurs,it is completely different from the dielectric breakdown of a common electrical equipment failure.Partial discharge phenomena usually occur in the insulation of the electric field distortion of electric field distortion is serious or electric field strength,and the insulation strength of the insulation medium surface,interior,or two kinds of insulation media contact surface.The generation of partial discharge in electrical equipment is usually due to the presence of a defect in the inner part of an insulating medium or an insulating member in the manufacturing process.The generation of partial discharge in electrical equipment is usually due to the presence of impurities,air gap or oil film and other defects in the process of insulating medium or insulating components in the manufacturing process.Moreover,the geometric shape design does not conform to the standard or the power equipment exceeds the rated voltage operation is also the important reason for the occurrence of partial discharge.The partial discharge is harmful to the power distribution equipment,and the partial discharge can cause the insulation damage,and even lead to insulation breakdown.In the process of partial discharge,the oxidation of ozone and nitrogen oxide and other gases,and a certain degree of heat,in the role of these gases and the role of heat will cause chemical corrosion,leading to insulation breakdown.Thus,according to the plan of electrical equipment periodically measuring partial discharge phenomena,it is possible to detect defects timely design and manufacturing process transformation and distribution equipment,can prevent further deterioration of the partial discharge phenomena,electrical equipment to avoid accidents.Partial discharge phenomenon generally produce electromagnetic waves,sound waves,heat,light,produce various types of gas or chemical decomposition,etc.,we can through the above types of chemical,physical phenomena of individual monitoring or more comprehensive monitoring of partial discharge in power distribution equipment identification and positioning.State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company is currently the main use of infrared thermography,oil chromatography,ultrasonic,ground waves,UHF,VHF and other methods of partial discharge monitoring technology.This article is based on partial discharge test method in practical engineering applications,by aggregating carding recent years Tianjin partial discharge test typical diagnostic cases,analysis of partial discharge monitoring methods different principlesAnalysis of oil-immersed transformers and GIS equipment,different internal structure,partial discharge occurs when the insulating material for physical differences in chemical phenomena they generate,for partial discharge monitoring principle,procedure,data analysis,scope and defect diagnosis and other detailed analysis,proposed a comprehensive package of targeted partial discharge detection strategies to achieve enhance all types of electrical equipment partial discharge detection work in detection speed and accuracy goals.
