Research On The Evolution Of Building Codes Of Modern Tianjin

Urban planning and construction are inseparable from the constraint and guide of relevant regulations.During the construction of the city,regulations often act on projects earlier,when compared with design and construction.That is to say,somewhat,urban construction regulations directly determine city image and form.Undoubtedly,it is an important and convenient way that finding out a city's development form the area of urban construction and regulation.China's current urban construction regulation system comes from modern West's city construction regulations.In modern China,Building codes are the main law documents in the process of urban construction,which includes building laws,building standards and building regulations,etc.Building codes controls architectural form,material,structure and relationship between buildings and surroundings.Building codes acts on the whole process from project design to construction,which controls the urban form.Tianjin has an important position in modern history.During the 90 years from the port opened to the city liberated,Tianjin almost remained the patter that concessions and Chinese residential areas coexisted all the way.This article attempts to card the building codes of concessions and Chinese residential areas,in order to distinct how the administrators learned from western cities' regulations during the process of native regulation formulating;sort out Tianjin building codes' evolution process including its formation,development and complement;analysis important rules' formulation process and summarize its evolution characteristics;make horizontal comparison among Tianjin' regulations and other cities' native regulations which are in the similar period of time;compare different cities' regulations;card the building permit applying's evolution process of modern Tianjin and compare it to which is used by now;compare different period's building codes which are related to the urban form and card modern Tianjin building codes' evolution process at the same time,in order to understand and study the architectural form and urban form at that time.
