Study On Design Process Of Residential Project Based On BIM

With the construction of many residential projects and improvement of people’s living level in China,how to enhance the quality and construction standard of residential building is the key issue with the traditional construction of intensive mode has been unable to meet the requirements.There is more need to establish new methods and models to drive the development and evolution of the housing industry.By the progress of Building Information Model(BIM),there are more and more applications on the design period and gives very good experience on residential projects with the advancement of parameterization and high reuse rate.However,only increase applications of BIM in a single stage will aggravate the gap due to the current fragmentation of different work division.In this case,it is very important to upgrade and improve about how to effectively apply BIM by the whole industry chain perspective and the entire life cycle of vision for the design is an important part of the whole project.The thesis includes the summary of the concept,application mode and advantages of BIM and analysis of the design process,development direction and current situation of traditional residential project.Therefore,the following studies are carried out:(1)To clarify the key factors in the design process of residential project based on BIM;(2)To rebuild design process of residential projects based on BIM by the experience of the development of manufacturing industry,(3)To establish the maturity model of residential project design based on BIM with reference of typical BIM maturity model and calculation of real case is carried out.According to the development of residential design,a new design process based on BIM residential projects has been rebuilt.Compared to the traditional residential projects in the design process,the design process based on BIM residential projectsfocuses on the information expression and transmission,people’s understanding and communication,tools of accuracy and convenience etc.,which requires management and control of team organization,management requirements and fundamental information environments.A maturity model of design process based on BIM technical applied evaluation was built which is more appropriate in design stage of residential projects.The model can be used to evaluate the design process of the whole life and the whole industry chain of the residence and to improve the process.Applied the model,two cases analysis of residential projects was carried out.The result indicates that the model of design process based on BIM technical applied evaluation is correct and feasible.
