Quality education is the main direction of education reform in China while open education is one of the important ways to realize quality education.In recent years of our country’s developed areas,international school offers advanced open educational philosophy whether in the innovation of educational means or in the design of teaching space are worth learning.Therefore,as an effective complement to educational resources,international school has been thriving in educational circles.At the same time,the teaching space design of international school which follows open education has gradually becoming the focus of architect’s attention.This project which is based on the contemporary open education and the research of related educational theories tries to explore the principles and strategies of international school teaching space design by researching typical school cases in order to adapt the requirement of open education.This project clears the research objects,puts forward the requirement of open education for international school teaching space and discusses Educational Psychology and Environmental Psychology by defining open education,international school and teaching space.Then,this project selects Kang Chiao International School East China,United World Colleges Changshu China and Eton House International School·Suzhou as cases to summarize relevant design experience.On the basis of above research,this project summarizes several factors affecting international school teaching space design and analyses the principles of international school teaching space which in order to propose the strategies of international school teaching space from the aspects of main teaching space,subordinate teaching space and teaching space combination.This project has initially constructed the principles and strategies of international school teaching space design adapting to open education,which in order to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the current and future international school design. |
