Influence Of Changchun Xinmin Street Manchukuo Building On Contemporary Design

This research project is based on my supervisor of master's research project in Jilin Province provincial humanities and social science facility “Influence of Changchun Manchukuo Building on contemporary design” This research is the subproject the original project.This dissertation further explores and studies Xinmin Street section.This paper analyzes Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings' influence on the contemporary design of Changchun City by studying the historical significance and political background of this group of buildings into consideration.The author also carries out a series of analysis and research on the architectural patterns and features.Furthermore,the author summarizes the complete research and knowledge framework with a systematic approach.Given the uniqueness of Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings,the author gathers research experiences from China and other countries to complete this task.The goal of this research is to draw up the theoretical system to prove the positive assistance Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings provides modern architecture.The author also class for improvement and protection for the same type of historical buildings.Firstly,the author analyzes how Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings received inspiration from the geographic,political and economic environment,and Japanese contemporary architectural theories.He also summarizes and analyzes the creative features and design patterns of the architectural relics.Secondly,the author studies the remains of five buildings of Manchukuo: the State Council,the Ministry of Justice,the Ministry of Railways,the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Economy.He analyzes the architectural form of Xinnin Street Manchukuo Buildings.Furthermore,to articulate the cultural image of Xinmin Street buildings,the author surveys two hundred and thirty-five Changchun citizens regarding Xinmin Street buildings' overall image,humane level,material,etc.Based on the previous conclusion on the characteristics Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings,the author seeks to analyze analyzes the architectural influence Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings has on the historical neighborhood,and seeks to sort out how the buildings impact architecture in Changchun today.The author also unpacks his reflection on issues regarding protection over historical and cultural streets within Xinmin neighborhood,given a modern context.The third chapter and the fourth chapter are critical for this study.This paper analyzes Xinmin Street Manchukuo Buildings' architectural features by focusing on the political,economic,social and intellectual atmosphere.Based on this conclusion,the author summarized the "overall or local copy or transplant their architectural features;" simplify,refine and refer the Manchu-style "architectural form or spatial form;and" postmodernism-oriented "architectural theory.The author articulates his thoughts on historical building protection based on his previous survey on cultural image of the remains and the three basic forms of relations.The author hopes this dissertation will provide some insight and value to the design of new buildings in Changchun,Jilin Province,and have a positive impact on historical neighborhood establishment nationwide.
