Design Research On Renovation Of Rural Traditional Dwellings Within The Modern Lifestyle

The traditional residential buildings in the vast countryside areas of south Sichuan shall be the material carrier for the traditional lifestyle and traditional culture of the residences in the countryside of south Sichuan,they shall have the extremely high value of humanity and arts.But along with the development of social economy and the great efforts on the construction of new socialist countryside,the life mode of villagers have been increasingly changed accordingly.The traditional rural dwellings cannot adopt to the increasingly developed demand of the villagers in production,life and aesthetic idea,some of villagers have voluntarily and passively started the reconstruction and expansion on the traditional dwellings they’ve been lived in.Being lack of scientific guidance and systematical planning,the traditional dwellings were damaged in different degrees,so that it shall be imperative to carry out the study on the transformation and renovation of the traditional rural house.The aim of the author is to investigate the 11 natural villages in Baima Village,Gulin County in south Sichuan,to analyze and study the changes of the villagers’ life mode in Baima Village,the evolution and current situation of the traditional folk house in Baima Village,through the transformation and renovation practice on year A in the Datong Bridge area of Baima Village and by taking the relative researches made by academic circles related to "transformation and renovation" and outstanding cases as reference,to explore such a transformation measure and method that can both satisfy the demand of villagers on modern life mode and also inherit and develop the style and features of traditional fold house to a certain degree.This paper can be divided into 6 parts,Chapter 1 is the introduction,to propose the writing background and study significance of this paper,through the research and analysis on relative domestic and foreign theories and practices,to determine the writing direction of this paper;Chapter 2 gives the brief introduction on rural modern life mode with the corresponding "new villagers" and also makes the interrelated thesis on the mutual influence between the life mode and rural residents and the formation of "new folk house";In Chapter 3,it made the investigation and analysis on the existed rural residents of Baima Village,Gulin County in two types,and expounded the relationship between them and the changes of life mode,to expound the renovation demand of traditional rural folk house;in Chapter 4,it proposes the six major renovation design principles for the urgent demand on the transformation and renovation of traditional rural folk house;in Chapter 5,under the guidance of transformation,it made the discussion on the transformation and renovation practice project of yard A in Datongqiao area of Baima Village,proposed the specific measures on the transformation and renovation and arranged the reasonable evaluation;in the last conclusion part,through emphasizing the necessity and reasonableness of the measures on the transformation and renovation of traditional folk houses,it expressed the worry and thought on the current situation of traditional rural folk houses under urgent need of preservation and renovation.
