Study On The Fire Protection And Evacuation Design Of Large Commercial Buildings

Since China’s reform and opening up,the development of commodity market is unprecedented,Changes in supply and demand also provided the impetus for its development.After the 1990 s,The well-known department stores have been gradually evolved to urban commercial complex.Those large scale business buildings have much improvement whatever in form or scale.China’s economic level,consumption per person ability and purchase desire has great changes in few decades.The commercial buildings developed very fast under the impetus of the development of market economy,which not only is a place to satisfy the consumers to buy commodities,but also a multifunctional comprehensive space to have beer and skittles,exchange and education.Therefore the commercial buildings gradually have bigger inner space and more complex structure with versatilespatial form and flow line.The consumption experience increase substantially.But at the same time,fire control incipient fault of these commercial building is also coming out and increasing.It’s easy to become major accident in case of fire.So it requires high standard of fire protection design for commercial buildings.After studying the current established fire protection design standards,it’s very hard to use these current standards to large scale commercial buildings.Hence we need to improve the performance-based fire protection design.Then this article will elaborate the development of commercial buildings and large commercial building fire properties.Through the comparison of performance-based fire protection design and current fire protection planning standard,it underline the advantages of the performance-based fire protection design and illustrates the application of performance-based fire protection design through the case.Finally it come up with conclusion: because of the imperfection implement of the current fire protection planning standard and at an early stage of performance-based fire protection design,we should use these two standards as design strategy to keep standard and assist with performance-based design.
