Research On The Investigation Of Soundscape In Shenyang Expo Garden

For a long time,visual effect is the focus of landscape design,and people have ignored the auditory which is one of five senses,soundscape has not been paid enough attention.In recent years,as people pay more and more attention to the role of sound in landscape environment,the research of soundscape is also increasing.This paper investigates the soundscape of Shenyang Expo Garden,in order to provide reference basis for the planning and management of soundscape of the comprehensive scenic spots.The research background and significance,research content and method,the concept of soundscape,the related theories and research status quo at home and abroad are presented in the first and second chapters.Then,the field survey of status quo of soundscape in Shenyang Expo Garden has been done by using the sound level meter on 20 observation points;Through questionnaire survey,analysis the subjective evaluation of tourists by using the Likert scale method,and elect the sounds which tourists like or don’t like;Furthermore,SPSS gives the correlation analysis of subjective loudness and favorable degree,coordination degree and favorable degree.The conclusions are as follows:The soundscape in Shenyang Expo Garden is mainly composed of natural sound,living sound and artificial sound,and the overall sound environment is quiet.From the space distribution,there is more natural sound in south area,and sound level is also lowest;From the time change,M type curve is a trend from early to late.The most popular and favourite soundscape is the natural sound;Living sound only in the forest amusement park can be accepted by tourists;Tourists’ favorable degree of artificial sound which includes motor vehicle sound and construction sound is lower.Loudness and coordination degree directly affect the evaluation of the quality of soundscape;Favorability and coordination degree are highly linear correlation.But,the relationship between subjective loudness and favorable degree is influenced by other factors.Different sex,age,education and other background tourists have different favorable degrees for soundscape.The soundscape of Shenyang Expo Garden is suitable and coordinate as a whole.But there are still some problems,for example,distinctive types of soundscape are lack and spatial regional characteristica are not obvious.Based on the above conclusions,this paper recommends that the scenic area managers take positive design,negative design and zero design to improve the soundscape,and strengthen the management and control of soundscape according to different environment types,in order to give tourists a better landscape experience.
