A Research On Adaptable Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Technical Standard Of Historic Area

Historic quarter,which holds abundant cultural relics and historic buildings,could reflect the traditional and local characteristics of a district during certain period.Moreover,historic quarter has also acted as an important role in district development and has witnessed the accumulation of a nation's history and culture.Therefore,it is quite significant to protect and study the historic quarters.However,affected by changing social and economic conditions,a number of historic quarters have been threatened by aged construction structure,outdated infrastructure,too much mixed-use,and lack of management.Consequently,such problems have led to the weak capacity of disaster prevention in historic quarters when meeting human damage,natural disasters and other threats.Nevertheless,the current disaster prevention standard,as the basis for the guidance of disaster prevention work,is only suitable for general area and the modern buildings,but not for historic quarters.It is thus essential to develop a more adaptive disaster prevention technology standard for historical quarter,which would benefit long-term survival and development of the historic quarters in China.The present study is a project that based on the National Natural Science Foundation project “research of the historical built-up areas' security system based on the dynamic simulation”(No.51178297).Based on the analysis and reference of national and international historic quarter laws,regulations and standards,and study of China's historic quarter character and the current status of disaster prevention ability,this research would present some reasonable guidance for setting new comprehensive disaster prevention technology standards of historic quarter.The research would include five chapters.First chapter would present relative definitions,research background,research contents,research method,and research approaches.In the second chapter,the author would introduce national and international laws,regulations,and standards of historic quarter.Additionally,the author would also analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these literature,and provides reference for later research.The third chapter would first study the character of disaster prevention in historic quarter,at the same time analyze the current comprehensive disaster prevention technology standards of historic quarter.Subsequently,the author would evaluate the adaptability of current standard.On the basis of previous research,the forth chapter would provide improvement suggestion of current standard's adaptability in terms of fire control,seismic resistance,and flood control.The last chapter would take the Tianjin Five Old Street as an example to present the relevant adaptive disaster prevention standard according to the previous research conclusions.
