EPC Project Management Maturity Model And Application Research For Harbor Engineering Contractor

EPC project has been more popular contracting mode in the construction of habor engineering in recent years.For the contractor,EPC project means larger market share and profit opportunities,but also with corresponding management risks.EPC mode requires higher request for management ability to habor contractors,During EPC project implementation process,the contractors realize that their management ability is insufficient,and have increasing expectations to improve both management maturity and the core competitiveness of the enterprise and reduce management cost by evaluating their own project management maturity.Based on the above background and questions,it is essential to build a set of EPC project management maturity evaluation model for habor contractors.In this paper,the author takes EPC projects which he has participated in as research background,with the practical problems appeared in the process of project management as the guidance,based on the maturity model both at home and abroad,the theoretical research and case analysis combination,with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for both quantitative and qualitative factors,and combining with the characteristics of habor engineering EPC project of the implementation of the whole process,from the angle of the contractor to build a set of habor engineering EPC project management maturity model,in order to provide reference for habor engineering contractor to improve project management maturity.This study will help habor contractors to improve their EPC project management maturity and put forward path for improvement for the existing defects in the management process.The author hope that through the continuous improvement of management maturity,harbor contactors can realize the standardization of habor engineering EPC project management,and ultimately improve their profitability and market competitiveness.
