This project aims to develop a trustful application for parents who let their children with the school bus service.Mostly without awareness and never know the exact location until the children arrive home.Furthermore in an emergency case,sometimes only phone call or instant message is inevitably unprecise and overly slow to get help in time.In a certain case,this application is very useful to track the precise coordinate of the bus and let the user know timely.This paper describes the development of School Bus Tracking System via Android application to provide a precise coordinate of a school bus,and then the data will be updated in the database and then display on the web page.The system consists of three main roles.First,administrator who can add bus details,register students,view bus details,and view feedbacks.Then there is a bus driver who needs to login to the system to provide the coordinate automatically using GPS technology.Finally parent,who can track location of a bus via web application,change password,and write feedback.The system is mainly developed using Visual Studio with.NET framework coded with C#and JavaScript for web application and ADT with Java language for Android application.Microsoft SQL is used for storing data in the database with REST API as a communication medium to communicate with mobile application.The system's functions in both web and mobile application including login/logout,adding driver,register student,view bus detail,feedback management,tracking location,password management can work flawlessly and efficiently.Furthermore,the web application tracking system has shown an accurate result in which the markers' position on the map are displayed within a kilometer away from the actual location.The implementation's results of the other functions are thus considered effective and reliable.
