Research On Landscape Design Of The Elderly Welfare Institute Based On The Perspective Of Horticultural Therapy Analysis

From ancient times to the present,people's attachment to nature and love has been always rooted in nature of human beings,plants have been used as a therapeutic material for a long time.In recent years,people are gradually aware of the relationship between gardening and physiology and mental health,the rehabilitation function of plants has been paid more attention by people.Horticultural therapy as an ecological,healthy form of therapy,it is not only can help the special population regain a healthy body,but also can provide a new way of health care for the healthy people.Therefore,we should apply horticultural therapy to all kinds of garden landscape,it is high time to give full pay to the improvement of the natural environment,and promote people's physical and mental health function.At the same time,with the development of social economy and the improvement of scientific and technological level,the population structure of each country is changing rapidly,aging of population has become an important problem that every nation must face.Under this background,the development of social pension service in China is very rapid,there are many types of pension institutions in the society.However,due to the improvement of quality of life and medical treatment,people demand pension environment has not only confined to the unusual landscape function structure and aesthetic meaning,the landscape environment of endowment place is getting more and more widespread attention.Therefore,Horticultural Therapy which is combined with gardening operation and landscape design is applied to the landscape environment of the endowment place,and meets the elderly physiological and behavioral needs fully,to promote pension service development and promote the popularization of Horticultural Therapy is of great significance,the study has also become a promoting social sustainable development in a new perspective.In this paper,it takes the Horticultural Therapy system as a research direction and the landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute as the research object.Also it combined with literature review,field research,case analysis,induction and deduction,actual case method.First and foremost,it summarizes the Horticultural Therapy and the Elderly Welfare Institute.Besides,it takes three representational Elderly Welfare Institutes of Chengdu as the research object,the status of landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute of Chengdu was analyzed,and then the physiological,psychological and behavioral needs of the elderly in the landscape environment are deeply discussed.Last but not least,the methods and strategies of applying horticultural therapy to the landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute is put forward,and then application strategy of the first Social Welfare Institute of Chengdu landscape design is exemplified.The main results are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,it through analyze the results of the questionnaire and Hierarchy of Human Needs Theory,the demand of the elderly to the landscape environment is analyzed and summarized.(2)A field study on the landscape environment of three representational Social Welfare Institute of Chengdu,and then analysis and discussion on the problems existing in the landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute,for provides the direction for the improvement of the landscape environment of the Social Welfare Institute.According to the basic needs of the elderly,the principle of the landscape design of the Elderly Welfare Institute is proposed.(3)According to the needs of the elderly in three aspects,besides physiology.psychology and behavior.the methods and strategies of applying horticultural therapy to the landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute is put forward.In physiological aspects,with the method of Environmental Treatment and Horticultural Therapy,it creates perceptive environment to stimulate the elderly sensory organ,and design participatory landscape,to make the elderly better and faster integration into the landscape environment for health care.In behavioral aspects,with the method of Play Therapy,it creates a rich landscape space for the different behavior of the elderly.In psychological aspects,with the method of memory therapy,it pays attention to the use of the material and elements,besides the integration of culture,to make landscape is full of stories.and meet the emotional needs of the elderly.(4)Taking the landscape environment of the first Social Welfare Institute of Chengdu as an example,making a relatively complete landscape design,and applying the research results in practice.In the early stage of the program design,on the surrounding land.building layout,site traffic,green space layout and the activity route of the elderly have a more systematic analysis,so as to lay the foundation for the latter part of the landscape design process.In the implementation of the design process to design concept,the application of horticultural therapy in the landscape environment of the Elderly Welfare Institute has been well used.in practice.
