Application Research Of The Soundscape With Traditional Temple Garden In Mount Emei

In Chinese classical gardens,people have used sound as scenery for thousands of years. Soundscape as a branch of modern landscape architecture, its concept put forward about 60 years, thus, so far the domestic special research for the soundscape is not much. Traditional Chinese temple garden is situated around green hills and water, with the advantage of the nuture landscape and artificial langscape. It is the elegant setting for researching the classical gardens cause its beautiful environment and unique sound of musical instrument. As the buddhist holy mountain Emei, it has nice condition for research soundscape because of its beautiful natural environment, many distinctive old temple, intact traditional temple garden.So this paper tried to analysis research the soundscape of traditional temple garden of Emei, summarized the figure technique and put forward suggestions for improvement, hope may further enrich soundscape and classical garden interaction research.By landscape evaluation research as the object in mind, measured acoustic elements of four traditional temple garden of mountain Emei, thus summed up the typical acoustic element, and carried on the quantification of evaluation questionnaire and favorability appraisal. With quantitative evaluation of the single or multiple acoustic elements, get the best acoustic element and its sound pressure level (SPL) for soundscape environment molding. Then experimental results was carried out Two-way analysis of variance by SPSS 17.0, to get the acoustic element and its type and SPL of statistical significance.Finally get the results of scoustic element evaluation, soundscape construction technique summary, some improvement suggestions and the modern landscape architecture figure technique enlightenment of traditional temple garden of mountain Emei.The conclusion is as follows:(a)The single acoustic element can be controlled in the traditional temple garden soundscape environment, and its favorability turning point for 45dB.In the presence of a variety of voice, the favorability is a turning point when background sound is 60 dB.Thus, we should control the single acoustic element SPL less than 45 dB and multiple acoustic element background SPL less than 60dB in soundscapemolding of the traditional temple garden.(b) Low SPL buddhist symbol acoustic element makes people favorable in the traditional temple garden soundscape environment, so it can be used as the primary addition acoustic element or element as the background, to create a buddhist solemn piety soundscape environment.(c) Low SPL natural acoustic elements have good coordination and psychological in the traditional temple garden soundscape environment, we should strengthen acoustic element to add like natural sound, and rich the type of natural acoustic, to create a pure natural and intelligential soundscape atmosphere.(d) Artificial voice elements have the worst feels in the traditional temple garden soundscape environment, so we should try to avoid the occurrence of such high SPL acoustic elements. We should control and evade this kind of acoustic elements by acoustic elements superposition, environment molding, signs posting, regional dividing. And then appropriate create a kind of quiet space can bring good feelings in the traditional temple garden soundscape environment.A quite space can enrich the soundscape environment, increased administrative levels sense, bring different dharma apperception of traditional temple garden.And it also can highlights traditional temples garden beautiful and quietness soundscape environment.
