With the economic development all over the world, the number of the cars is increasing. Car has being necessary for human daily lives, but the accidents number is increasing. The crash accidents are more proportion of the traffic accidents. And the collision can cause the serious hurt in the neck. Although the kind of hurt can't make people being dead, but it is so difficult to restore, that bring huge economic loss and mental harm to the family.Initially,researcher used test method for the neck injury and optimization measures. The efficiency is low, the effect is poor. Recently, as the computer is using, the software of CAE is appearing constantly. At the stage of research and designing, the dummy neck injury is able to be simulated. Though improve the structure of seats, the injury will be reduced. Thus it shorten research development cycle time, reducing research costs.With comparing and analyzing the whiplash test method among Euro-NCAP, J-NCAP, C-NCAP and IIHS, it found the difference from the test in the paper. With learning the whiplash regulation, it found the important parameter to preparing for optimization. Through a company's seat project test analyzing and researching, it found that the whiplash performance was poor, the problems of the seat was found. The point was lower at the NIC and Fz. They were 0.86 and 0.3.The point of CNCAP is1.64. Using pre-processing software ANSA, the CAD data of seat is clean, the mesh is divided and the parameter is set, the boundary is set. According to the static test, it compares to the CAE model. Finally, though LS-DYNA calculating results, it compares to the dynamic test results. The result of simulation was able to be accepted.According to the dummy injury judge criterion, with the software MADYMO and ISIGHT, seat whiplash DOE is calculated. The parameters are found as the optimization variables. It found the sensitivity of the influence of the seat performance. With ISIGHT and Pointer linking optimization computing method,it found the optimal solution,it found the minimum NIC. Though reducing the head backset, reducing the back stiffness, improving the head restraint height and stiffness, the NIC is able to be reduced. Finally, the NIC is improved to 3.5 from 1.64, and fulfilled the requirement.
