The automobile is the most important instrument for trip in peoples' living.Base on the traffic accident statistics of China,rear accident is just less than front and side crash.About one-third of traffic accident is rear crash.The death toll of rear crash is less than other traffic accident,but the injured people have high proportion which is from thirty percent to forty percent.About ninety percent of passenger injury is neck injury usually called whiplash injury which happened at low velocity.The neck injury will result headache,neck pain,neuralgia,high paraplegia and vegetable,the patient suffer huge pain and the treatment of these symptoms also costs many social spending.So how to improve the anti-whiplash performance of the seat and reduce neck injuries from rear impacts has become an increasing problem in the field of vehicle active safety.This text firstly introduces the research status of seat safety in domestic and overseas,following introduces the sport of neck in rear crash and injured mechanism and evaluation standards.Describing regulations of whiplash test between European Euro-NCAP and Chinese C-NCAP.Using software of HyperWorks 11.0 and Radioss to build whiplash simulated test model for driver seat and according to C-NCAP-2012 dummy injured grade criterion to evaluate the neck injured of dummy.Changing the framework stiffness,structure of headrest,hardness of foam and regulation mechanism of driver seat and analyze it by simulate to study those changed parameters how to affect neck injure.Basing on the analysis result to manufacture driver seat which structure modified to test,the test result insure the anti-whiplash performance p of modified driver seat have improved.
